Keeping it Real: Our Commitment to You

At Reel Money, we believe the thrill should always be in the entertainment, not the risk. Gambling is a form of leisure, just like buying a cinema ticket or going for a meal. It is not a way to make money.

We want you to enjoy your time with us, but more importantly, we want you to be safe. That’s why we’ve built the Control Centre—a suite of tools designed to keep you in the driver's seat.

1. The Control Centre (Your Tools)

We don't believe in "one size fits all." You can customise your account settings to match your budget and schedule.

Financial Safety Nets (Deposit Limits)

Before you start playing, decide what your entertainment budget is.

  • What it does: Caps the amount you can deposit into your account over a rolling 24-hour, 7-day, or 30-day period.
  • The Rule: You can lower your limit instantly. If you want to increase it, we apply a mandatory 24-hour cooling-off period to give you time to reconsider.
  • How to set it: Go to My Account > Safer Gambling > Deposit Limits.

Reality Checks

It’s easy to lose track of time when you’re having fun.

  • What it does: A pop-up notification appears on your screen at set intervals (e.g., every 30 or 60 minutes). It shows you exactly how long you’ve been playing and your net win/loss for that session.
  • The Choice: You can choose to exit the game or dismiss the alert.

Activity Statement (The "Receipt")

We believe in total transparency.

  • What it does: View your full history of deposits, withdrawals, and gameplay bets for the last 12 months.
  • Why: Seeing your "Net Spend" in black and white helps you keep a clear head about your hobby.

Taking a Break (Time-Out)

Feeling frustrated? Chasing a loss? Just need to focus on life?

  • What it does: Locks your account for a short break. You choose the duration: 24 hours, 48 hours, 7 days, or up to 6 weeks.
  • The Effect: You cannot reverse this block until the time is up. We won't send you any marketing emails during this time.

Self-Exclusion (Stopping for Good)

If you feel gambling is negatively affecting your life, this is the most important step.

  • What it does: Blocks your access to Reel Money completely for a minimum of 6 months (extendable up to 5 years).
  • The Commitment: We will do everything reasonably possible to prevent you from opening new accounts. We urge you to withdraw any remaining funds and contact us to help.
  • National Exclusion: If you choose this, we strongly recommend you register with GAMSTOP (see below) to exclude yourself from all UK operators at once.

2. Check Your Play (Self-Assessment)

Sometimes it’s hard to see the wood for the trees. Ask yourself:

  1. Have you ever bet more than you could afford to lose?
  2. Have you needed to gamble with larger amounts to get the same feeling of excitement?
  3. Have you gone back another day to try and win back the money you lost?
  4. Have you borrowed money or sold anything to gamble?
  5. Has your gambling caused you any health problems, including stress or anxiety?

If you answered "Yes" to any of these, please stop playing and contact one of the confidential support groups listed below immediately.

3. External Support & National Registers

You are not alone. These independent organisations offer free, confidential advice and support 24/7.

Advice for Parents:

If you share your computer or mobile with minors, we recommend using filtering software to prevent them from accessing gambling sites:

5. Banking Blocks

Did you know many UK banks now allow you to turn off gambling transactions directly from your banking app? This adds an extra layer of friction to stop impulsive deposits.

  • Look for "Card Controls" or "Merchant Block" in your Bank’s App.
